Filling a Prescription at an MSU Pharmacy
New prescriptions must be called in or faxed by a physician's office or brought to the pharmacy. New prescriptions may also be picked up on-campus by the Pharmacy Delivery Service.
To transfer a prescription from another pharmacy, bring the prescription vial, bottle or package to one of the MSU pharmacies. Or, call an MSU Pharmacy with the name and phone number of the pharmacy where the prescription was last filled, the prescription number, and the name of the medication. The MSU pharmacy staff will then transfer and fill your refill prescription for you.
To refill a prescription, simply give us a call. Refills can be called in or ordered on-line 24 hours a day, seven days a week. (Evening and weekend refill orders will be processed on the following work day.)
The Pharmacy Delivery Service
If you prefer not to wait for your prescription to be filled, or if getting back to pick up a prescription is inconvenient, have your order delivered! Over-the-counter product orders totaling $3 or more can be delivered as well. Co-pays and other costs may be paid for by check, VISA or MasterCard. Deliveries requested by the end of the business day will be delivered the next business day. The Delivery Service is available Monday through Friday on-campus. Ask about the service when you drop off your prescription, or call the North campus Pharmacy at 353-9165 or South campus Pharmacy at 353-4930 to request a delivery.
